TOM MYERS – BODYREADING 101
TOM MYERS – BODYREADING 101
Body reading is both an art and a skill. These videos build your abilities step-by-step from reading the skeleton’s relative position to seeing the soft-tissue restraints involved in creating the position, to strategies for unwinding the problem.
With more than 30 practice clients for standing posture and 12 for gait analysis, plus sections on assessing breathing and sitting, the 3-video set lets you test your own growing understanding before getting Tom’s “expert” opinion with his experienced eye.
This course will help you see the skeleton inside your clients. When you can put together the tilts and rotations that are part of a client’s habitual movement, you can use training, targeted stretching, or soft-tissue work to unwind the strain patterns that lead to pain, dysfunction, and less-than-optimal movement.
Map the Pattern by accurately seeing the skeletal relationships, then Shape the Change by releasing the myofascial ‘cables’ that hold it in place. In many people, the ‘key’ to pattern release is located at some distance from the site of injury or pain.
